A lot has been going on. I have spent my stimulus check on some new gear for the bus. The new seat covers look great. I updated some the steering parts I still need a new steering box to take all the play out of it.
Since I am done untill warmer weather
here is a pictorial of the current progress…
Soon summer will be here and this process starts up again.
Mother F#%&*
Apparently the engine builder who built the engine screwed up. I had to send the engine back to the shop. Needless to say I am a little pissed off.
It is ALIVE!
After months and weeks of carting my transmission back and forth the shop. The incompetent Transmission repair guy gave me a new transmission. It has now been installed and the Bus runs once again. I can not begin to explain the level of frustration I have been dealing with. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t feel stressed about my bus. Well I can remember a time but I was stressed about my jeep, But that is another long boring story.
Today the Bus is fixed and drivable. There are a couple things that need to be addressed but those can wait until summer.
The process of installing the transmission four times has taken its toll on me and I feel like sleeping through Christmas. However, I can not sleep through Christmas as I have 2 young boys eagerly awaiting Christmas morning to open presents I have the fond pleasure of wrapping tonight. Woo Hoo.
Here is a picture of the bus with Daisy driving.
Finally!!
Finally after weeks of waiting and fighting with the transmission guy , I have a new transmission. All I have to do now is put it in. Good thing it’s not 5 degrees Fahrenheit or I might get cold. /sarcasm
Almost finished
It got too dark for me to finish. I still need to tighten some bolts and plug in a couple wires but I am almost finished. waiting on the transmission was driving me crazy. all I wanted to do was drive my bus.
